Description
On 9 July 2020, Royal Mail issued a set of stamps celebrating one of the UK’s greatest music legends on the 50th anniversary of the band’s formation. Queen have more than three decades of hits to their name, so it is no surprise that there is a Queen song for everyone. Remarkably, more time has now passed since their iconic frontman Freddie Mercury sadly died than the band spent with him, yet Queen remain as popular as ever.
This attractive pair of covers each features 5 stamps and labels from the Queen Live Collectors Sheet. The sheet contains 10 definitive 1st class stamps and 10 different photos of the band on stage, printed on labels adjacent to the stamps. The stamps and labels have been split across two covers: one bears the Wembley postmark and the other the Rockfield, Monmouth postmark (9 July 2020).
