Description
Traditional mechanical cuckoo clock carved from wood.
The cuckoo calls once every half-hour and sounds the corresponding number of calls on each full hour.
Mechanical movement with a sound shut-off lever. The dial, hands and even the bird are carved from wood. The woodcutter chops wood as the cuckoo calls, moving his axe up and down. The shingled roof consists of dozens of small wooden plates, cut and glued by hand.
To wind the clock each day, simply pull the chains to raise the two weights.
Size: 25,5 cm, 10 inches high and 29,5 cm, 11,6 inches wide (without the weights and pendulum)
