Description

The manufacture and decoration of a quartz cuckoo clock are identical to those of a mechanical cuckoo clock. Only the movement is different.

It is made entirely from wood, except for the bird and small door, and is handcrafted. Linden wood is usually used. The roof is covered with wooden shingles. Hundreds of small wooden plates are cut and glued by hand! The movement runs on 3 type C batteries (LR14).

The cuckoo calls every hour (for example, at 09h00, it calls 9 times and so on), followed by an echo, a gentle river sound in the background and then music. The call and music stop automatically thanks to an electronic night sensor. The volume can be adjusted, and the cuckoo and/or music can be switched off using a simple switch on the side.

The pendulum swings continuously from right to left. The weights are decorative and do not need to be wound.

Size: 32 cm, 12,5 inches high and 30,5 cm, 12 inches wide (without the weights and pendulum)

Supplied with instructions in several languages.

Included: 3 type C batteries (LR14) (CHF 11.85)
