Description

A quartz cuckoo clock is manufactured and decorated in the same way as a mechanical cuckoo clock, with the exception of the movement.

It is made entirely of wood and crafted by hand. Linden wood is generally used. Only the bird, the small door and the hands are made of plastic. The roof is covered with wooden shingles: several dozen small wooden tiles are cut and glued by hand. The movement runs on 2 type C batteries (LR14).

The cuckoo calls every hour (for example, at 09:00 it calls 9 times, and so on), followed by an echo and a gentle river sound in the background. The call stops automatically thanks to an electronic night sensor. The volume can be adjusted and the cuckoo can be switched off using a simple switch on the side.

The pendulum swings continuously from right to left. The weights are decorative and do not need to be wound.

Dimensions: 35 cm (13,8 inches) high and 26,5 cm (10,4 inches) wide, excluding the weights and pendulum
